LAX Security

Some airport security experts say Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) could be doing more to detect an attack inside a terminal.

Former El-Al Airlines security agent Issy Boim says officers should be roaming the crowds at curbside and check-in watching for unusual behavior.

He says the unsecure side of terminals has been proven to be attractive targets: 18 passengers were killed in Europe by terrorists in coordinated attacks in the 1980s, and an El-Al ticket agent and another man were killed at LAX in 2002.

He says he can't understand why the airport left the security checkpoints without armed protection last Friday.
